Happy Wine Wednesday! Here’s the Latest…
Bottleneck Drive Announces its New Board

Our winery operations manager Julian Scholefield, who relocated to Summerland only a few months ago, has jumped into his new role with both feet.
In addition to inventory control, caring for our chickens, and overseeing the wine shop when it was open, Julian has accepted the role as president of The Bottleneck Drive winery association.
We are proud to have our own operations manager getting so involved in his new community.
His past experience will definitely play into Bottleneck Drive's mission to promote the unique wines produced in the Summerland area. The association’s aim is to bring our local wine industry to worldwide attention, in recognition of the high quality of our fine wines and the beauty of the region.
The remaining elected executive include Jack Fraser, vice-president (Thornhaven Estates Winery, owner), Diane Sarglepp, treasurer (Heaven’s Gate Estate Winery, owner) and Kristina Neilson, secretary (Sumac Ridge Estate Winery, assistant visitor experience manager), who will represent the Bottleneck Drive Winery Association in moving towards the goal to become a destination wine route in beautiful Summerland.
If you have not visited many wineries in Summerland, we suggest you check out the list of Summerland wineries when planning your next trip – come see us, and our neighbours!
If you know us, you know we love dogs!

Our owner Christine Coletta is on the board of PADS, and Okanagan Crush Pad has sponsored the first year of training for a PADS puppy. We named him “Summerland” as it seems like a happy dog name.
Summerland (seen at right with Alison Scholefield) is being raised by a PADS volunteer and with care, training, and love, he’ll hopefully make it into full-time service.
