Hey it’s Wine Wednesday and here’s what’s happening this week at Okanagan Crush Pad:

Okanagan Crush Pad opens for the summer on June 15!

Hours: Thursday to Sunday, 11:30am – 5:30pm

See the concrete “eggs” and enjoy a free tasting of limited production wines in our O Tasting Lounge. Or, sip our wines alongside your picnic and relax on the Crush Pad Patio overlooking the vineyard and lake.

Among the Vines

Our southern vineyards have started to blossom, and shoot thinning is underway in Switchback Vineyard.

Stacey Mendes is seen here thinning the shoots to ensure that the plant’s energy is directed toward the developing fruit.

Word on the Street

The Haywire Crush Pad Red and Haywire Crush Pad White wines are now on special by the glass at Memphis Blues Kelowna. Awaken your palate for only $6.50 per glass. Perfect with BBQ! Nom nom nom…

Speaking of BBQ…

Mmm…  we love smoky, salty pig parts… perfect with rosé. Succulent Memphis ribs, beef brisket, and pulled pork will be met by the wines from Haywire, Bartier Scholefield and Bartier Bros. at two VERY special events on July 11 and July 12 at 6pm, as Memphis Blues Barbecue House makes a special visit to feed the hungry at Okanagan Crush Pad. Wear your stretchy pants!
